Ingredients:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel bits
- Sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets
Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a medium-sized saucepan
While cooking, keep stirring the butter often until it turns golden brown and smells nutty
Take it off the heat and let it cool down a bit
Melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar should all be mixed together in a large bowl
Mix everything together well
To the butter and sugar mix, add the eggs and vanilla extract
Mix it well by beating it until it's smooth and creamy
Mix the cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and instant coffee granules together in a different bowl using a whisk
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing only until everything is well combined
Add the chocolate chips and caramel bits and mix them in until they are spread out evenly in the dough
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets that have been prepared
Leave a couple of inches between each one
Add a little sea salt to the top of each ball of cookie dough
After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the middle is still a little soft
Take the baking sheets out of the oven and put the cookies on them to cool for a few minutes
Then move the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling
You can enjoy the tasty mix of brown butter, salted caramel, and mocha flavors once the cookies are completely cool
