Garlic Rubbed Roasted Cabbage Steaks



Garlic Rubbed Roasted Cabbage Steaks are a delicious and nutritious Paleo-friendly dish that makes a satisfying side or main course. The cabbage steaks are roasted until tender and caramelized, infused with the savory flavors of garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 400F 200C

Take off the outer leaves from the cabbage and cut it into rounds that are one inch thick, like steaks

The cabbage steaks should be put on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet

Combine the olive oil, black pepper, salt, and minced garlic in a small bowl

Coat the cabbage steaks on both sides with an even layer of the garlic mixture

Roast, turning halfway through, in a preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the edges are golden brown

When roasted, take out of the oven and, if you'd like, top with fresh herbs

Enjoy while hot!
