Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Assorted vegan food coloring
  • Edible glitter optional

Instructions:

Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet

Put the vegan butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy

Mix in the vanilla extract and almond milk, then add the flour a little at a time until a dough forms

On a floured surface, roll the dough out to about 1/4 inch thick

Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to make the shapes, then put the cookies on the baking sheet that has been prepared

For 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden

After the icing has cooled, put it into different bowls and add vegan food coloring to make them different colors

With a paintbrush, add holiday designs to the cookies that look like Christmas trees out of the colored icing

For an extra magical touch, you can sprinkle edible glitter on top if you want to

Let the icing harden before you serve it or put it away in a container that won't let air in
